Nice and delicious Japanese food for very good prices
Just recently, the Bento Ya opened quite close to Munich central station. At the moment, it is still an insider tip and hard to find on the Internet. However, we are sure that it won’t stay like this for long.
The chef and sushi master prepares all kinds of Japanese dishes, from sushi to noodle soups, mostly with Udon or Ramen. The dishes are very delicious, are prepared freshly and at the same time, the prices are very moderate or better said, real low. For instance, the price for the Udon soup with cooked beef is 7.50 Euro. Toriteri Don, fried chicken with rice and teriyaki sauce, is available for only 5.90. The lunch menus are even cheaper.
A careful look at the menu reveals some interesting sushi variations. Even though some of them might sound absurd, we can recommend them all. For a first, careful try, you might want to try the rainbow rolls for 9 Euro. You will get 8 avocado-surimi rolls covered with a mix of salmon, tuna and avocado. If you dare to go a step further, try the Torikarage rolls with warm, fried chicken for 3 Euro or the Dragon rolls with fried scampi, chili, mayonnaise and eel for 9 Euro.
The delicious food is not the only reason why we keep coming back to the Bento Ya. The waitress and the chef are really nice and friendly people that not only ask if and how you liked the food but also start totally unrelated conversations from time to time.
